Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
We currently use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate strength and stability of a large variety of naval and marine structures.
We have developed a significant experience in performing strength and stability analyses of submarine pressure hulls in accordance with the main Classification Societies (ABS, DNV, RINA).
Effective vibration isolation on board vessels requires properly designed engine support foundations.
Mobility analysis of a structure makes it possible to highlight the resonance frequencies corresponding to its main mode shapes and to prevent these frequencies from coinciding with the main exciting frequencies on board the vessel.
FEA may be used in all phases of design of industrial products, from conceptual design phases to detail function design, where problems are difficult to solve by classical methods.
An FEA analysis report, covering all aspects of the analysis, can be issued on request of the client and/or submitted to Classification Societies for approval.
Whether working with you directly onsite at your location, or working remotely at our own location via internet conferences with your team, we’ll quickly and easily help solve your structural engineering and analysis problems.
We have significant experience designing elastomeric components (natural rubber, NBR), as vibration isolators or seals. We developed an innovative procedure based on nonlinear finite element analysis for the prediction of the load vs. deflection curve of the elastomeric component.
We also perform First–Ply Failure (FPF) and stability analyses of FRP laminated composite components with unlimited number of layers.
